I had just come home from basic training to visit my family. My sister was showing me her homecoming pictures from that fall. I remember vividly saying “whoa, stop… go back… who. is. THAT!? I’m going to marry that girl some day…”
My sister sternly looked at me while laughing and said “No Adam, she’s a freshman… she is the little Moss!”
I could have sworn she was a senior.
Through out the years I would hear so many guys talk about “The Moss Girls”. A few would talk about how they were going to “take their chance” and I would always laugh when I would hear them later on saying they could never get them to look their way.
Today in the airport I witnessed something that brought back so many memories. A huge group of baseball players from Puerto Rico were walking past our family as they were LITERALLY tripping over each other starring at my wife.
The girls with them gave me the nastiest looks and I could only laugh.
Tarah was just being Tarah… laughing, smiling and being carefree with the boys.
When we walked away I was laughing so hard trying to tell her what I saw. She quickly let me know how uncomfortable it made her as it was happening and that the only person she cares that looks her way is me.
Sometimes I wonder what I did right to call her my wife. Often, I wonder if I tell her enough how beautiful she is more on the inside than out.
Today, I’m reminded how lucky I am that she stares back at me.
I’m not quite the story teller that my wife is on social media however the point of my post is to remind you how hard you tried to get your partner to first notice you and to never stop giving them a reason to stare back.
Surprise Disney trip has officially kicked off!
